Ferris Wheel Moon is what happens when two Midwesterners—one from Alberta, one from North Dakota—accidentally collide in Toronto and decide not to let geography ruin a good thing. Built from years of long-distance note-sharing, late-night voice memos, and “wait, try it like this” revelations, the Minneapolis-based acoustic duo makes music that feels both sun-drenched and spellbound: hypnotic, ethereal vocals suspended over crackling warm acoustics.

At the center are producer Mark Stockert and artist Ilia Stockert, partners in sound, songwriting and vision with a knack for turning romance, escape, and mystery into a shimmering sonic odyssey. Their songs lean into the cinematic—healing guitar interplay, heartfelt vocals, and just enough mystique to make you wonder if the chorus is flirting with you (it is).

Ferris Wheel Moon is currently recording in their Minneapolis studio, Underwood Recording, which will include a series of cinematic videos filmed and produced by the duo. Mark brings decades of experience to the project, having produced hundreds of critically acclaimed records for local, national, and international artists, including a Grammy-nominated album with Brian Setzer, and work with ARIA and JUNO award winning artists. Ilia brings a globe-spanning visual eye shaped by years of photography and videography on documentary and event projects, with clients including CBC Canada and the Juno Awards.

Onstage, Ferris Wheel Moon has shared bills with artists like Joe Pug, Laamar, Molly Maher, Maygen & the Birdwatcher, Clare Doyle, and Sarah Morris, including appearances at festivals such as the Lutsong Music Festival. The result is a duo that sounds like a secret you can dance to—warm, intricate, and quietly magnetic, like moonlight caught in the spokes of a ferris wheel.
